Phillipsburg Secures $300,000 in UEZ Funding, Marking a New Chapter for the Program
The Town of Phillipsburg is proud to announce the award of $300,000 in funding through the New Jersey Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) Program, marking a significant milestone in the Town’s ongoing effort to revitalize and strengthen its UEZ program.
The New Jersey Urban Enterprise Zone Authority Board approved $150,000 for the Phillipsburg UEZ Tourism and Event Public Safety Program and $150,000 for the Phillipsburg UEZ Community Events and Tourism Project.
Securing this funding represents a true team effort and an important step forward for Phillipsburg. With renewed leadership, fresh perspectives, and a dedicated team now working together toward a common goal, the Town has been able to overcome longstanding challenges and get the UEZ program moving forward again. This new momentum has allowed Phillipsburg to begin rebuilding and revitalizing the program with a clear mission: supporting our local businesses, attracting visitors, strengthening our community, and creating new opportunities for economic and community development. This funding is an exciting first step—and a sign of what is still to come.
This is a huge win for Phillipsburg and something we have worked incredibly hard to achieve. We are moving past the obstacles of the past and putting our focus where it belongs — on the future of Phillipsburg. Our goal is to make the UEZ program bigger, better, and more impactful for our businesses and our community. We did it, and this is only the beginning.
The Town looks forward to putting these funds to work and continuing to build a stronger Phillipsburg UEZ that serves as a valuable resource for local businesses and a catalyst for the Town’s continued revitalization.

Phillipsburg is moving forward — and there is much more to come.
